Inversion
The memorial floor installation called "Inversion" featured acrylic sheets containing pictures of homing pigeons who had received the Dickin Medal for their bravery. The images of the pigeons were first inverted and then printed onto the sheets. When soldiers line up in a formation, it is called a "parade rest" or "standing at ease". However, when soldiers line up in a specific order for inspection, it is called "standing at attention" or "standing in formation." The images were meant to be a representation of pigeon soldiers, standing in attention.
